All Pool Drainage Mats

This is the whole range on one page. Every mat in our pool and drainage mats family appears below — the barefoot deck rolls, the washdown work mats, the threshold scrapers, and the marine tiles — so you can compare across groups instead of one shelf at a time.

It's the right starting point for two kinds of buyers. If your project spans zones — a deck, a locker room, and a service corridor, say — you can build the whole system here. And if you're not yet sure which group your problem belongs to, eleven products side by side sorts that out faster than any description.

What Dri-Dek does before standing water turns a floor slick and moldy In a shower, sauna, locker room, or pool deck, water doesn't just make the floor slick — it sits. A flat surface, even a textured one, holds a film of water right where bare feet land, and the

What Heronrib does before a wet pool deck takes someone's feet out A poolside or locker-room floor seems harmless until someone crosses it barefoot and the water underfoot decides the rest. It's tempting to trust textured tile or a fast mop. But on a flat surface, water spreads into a

What Heronair does before a wet work floor causes a fall In a busy work area, the floor gets wet and stays wet — washdown, splashes, drips, tracked-in water. It's easy to assume a quick mop or a coat of non-slip paint keeps people safe. The catch is that water

    One Range, Three Jobs

Everything here shares one principle: move water below the walking surface instead of waiting for it to dry. What splits the range into three groups is who's on the mat and where it lives. Poolside mats serve bare feet on decks and in changing rooms. Drainage matting serves shoes-on work zones and wet thresholds. Boat mats carry the same logic onto decks, docks, and compartments.

The groups aren't walls — several mats work across them, and a swim school's shower exit and a marina's changing room are close cousins. Browse the full set here, or step into a focused group when you know your zone.

    The Everything-Mat Mistake

The mistake this page exists to prevent is standardizing on one mat for every wet floor in a facility. It's a tempting simplification — one product to reorder, one look everywhere. But a mat that flatters a barefoot deck is undersized for a washdown corridor, and the heavy grid that thrives behind the bar is more surface than a swimmer's feet want at the pool's edge.

Each zone has its own feet, its own water, and its own cleaning rhythm, and the mat should match all three. The good news: matching zones doesn't mean managing chaos. The three groups below work as one system, and mixing them is how a facility gets every floor right at once.

    Browse by Group

    Poolside Mats

The barefoot four. Heronrib Matting is the full-coverage roll for decks that run barefoot traffic open to close, and WaterPro is its everyday counterpart — the deck roll that lifts, rinses, and re-lays in minutes.

Versa Runner Rubber Matting puts a soft, cushioned rubber pool mat under shower exits and locker aisles, while Floorline Matting lays marked walking lanes across changing rooms and wet transitions.

    Drainage Matting

The working four. Vynagrip Matting is the chemical- and temperature-rated grid for the harshest washdown floors, and Heronair Matting is the light anti-fatigue mover built for daily-lift cleaning routines.

At the doorways, Vinyl Loop Mats drain wet thresholds and pool bathrooms straight through, and Spaghetti Mats scrape shoes at gates and lighter-traffic outdoor entries before the grit gets inside.

    Boat Mats

The marine three. Dri-Dek Interlocking Tiles snap together to keep lockers, compartments, and cockpit floors dry, and Cushion Tile takes fatigue and vibration out of standing zones afloat or ashore.

Heronrib Duckboard Vinyl Matting rounds out the group with ribbed barefoot walkway rolls for swim platforms, docks, and marina changing rooms.

Three Ways to Narrow the Field

Start with the feet. Bare feet point you to the poolside group and Duckboard; shoes and boots point to the drainage group; both at once — a changing room, a gate — is where Floorline and Vinyl Loop live. This one question usually cuts eleven options to three or four.

Then the shape of the job. Thresholds take spot mats, routes take runners, and whole rooms or decks take roll goods cut to fit. Compartments and odd outlines are what the interlocking tiles are for — they trim to whatever the space demands.

Then the conditions. Harsh chemicals and temperature swings call for Vynagrip's ratings. Constant sun favors darker colors across the board. Salt is a non-issue for the marine vinyl. If two products still look interchangeable after all three questions, either will serve — that's the range working as intended.

    Why Choose Mats Inc.?

Wet floors have been a Mats Inc. specialty since 1964, and this page is that specialty laid out end to end — swimming pool mats for the deck, wet area floor mats for the working corridors, and marine matting for everything that floats. Few ranges cover a facility's every wet zone from one catalog; this one is built to.

If eleven options is ten more than you want to evaluate, hand us the floor plan. We'll split the zones, match each to its mat, and spec the cuts, edges, and quantities. Orders ship free, and nearly everything here trims, cuts, or configures to the spaces stock sizes miss.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I narrow down which pool mat I need?

Ask three questions in order. Whose feet — bare, shod, or both? What shape is the job — a doorway, a walking route, or a whole room? And what's in the environment — chemicals, sun, salt, heavy water? Feet pick your group, shape picks your format, and conditions pick the final product. Most buyers land on one or two candidates by the third question.

Can I mix different mats in one facility?

You should — that's how the range is meant to work. A swim club might run Heronrib on the deck, Versa Runner at the shower exits, Vinyl Loop in the pool bathroom, and Heronair behind the concession counter. Each zone gets the mat its traffic deserves, and because the whole family shares a drain-through logic, the maintenance routine stays consistent across all of them.

Which of these mats lasts the longest?

The range as a whole runs five to ten years in commercial service, with the heavier PVC grids and rolls at the top of that span. What separates a five-year mat from a ten-year one is mostly treatment: mats that get rinsed, lifted to dry, and rotated out of constant direct sun outlast identical mats that get dragged and left soaked, whatever the product.

Can the colors coordinate across a whole facility?

Yes, and it's worth planning. Black runs through most of the range as the quiet default, so service zones and thresholds can match without effort. Then use color where it communicates: WaterPro's blue beside the water, Floorline's brighter lanes marking routes, a yellow edge where a step needs noticing. Several products offer multiple or custom colors, so a facility palette can carry through.

    Which products offer custom sizing?

Most of the range adapts. The roll goods — Heronrib, WaterPro, Floorline, Vynagrip, Duckboard — cut to length on site, Versa Runner runs to 60 feet in three widths, and the interlocking tiles trim to follow any outline, curved compartment walls included. If you have a custom pool mat layout in mind, send the dimensions and we'll spec the cuts and edging.

Do these mats work for a home pool?

The same products serve residential decks, and the sizing logic just scales down — a WaterPro or Duckboard run along the wet side of a home pool, a Vinyl Loop mat at the patio door, Dri-Dek in the pool-gear corner of the garage. One note for home shoppers: these are walking-surface mats, not pool floats and not liner pads for under an above-ground pool.
