It can be loose-laid on top of the floor with attached vinyl ramps that ease the edges, surface-mounted in place, or recessed into a depression so the mat sits flush with the surrounding surface. The recessed option is the cleanest — finished with anodized aluminum trim, it integrates flush with no lip at the edge, which removes a trip point and looks built-in rather than dropped on. Panels cut and fit on-site.

Can Design Links handle carts and heavy traffic, and how long does it last?

Yes — it's built for heavy foot, cart, and pallet-jack traffic, so it holds up at busy retail, healthcare, and institutional entrances where lighter mats break down.
